Mothers day was Friday here. I would like to say happy late mothers day to all the mothers of my life, my own amazing mom and my grandmas and aunts and cousins and all the moms you guys are the best and make all the difference in our lives. Being away from my mom has helped me appreciate her so much more! I know us kids don't always express it well but we LOVE YOU and are so grateful for everything you do for us.
The "4th of July"
was this weekend in Paraguay. That made things a little hard because
people were either not home, or were drunk... haha but it was a good
week all in all. We got to visit an investigator with a member from the
branch this week and it made all the difference!
ps here's a picture of the Book of Mormon in the languages I'm attempting to learn! Guarani, Portuguese, and Spanish
This week, I
learned a great lesson about how important the spirit is. We are always
trying to live worthy of having the spirit with us because without His
guidance we can't do anything in this work, but I was reminded how
essential His presence is. We had a weird day, we were struggling a
little and weren´t communicating well. There was slight tension and I
was extremely distracted, the spirit wasn't there with us. When we
went to lessons, it was like being back at my first week here. I could
understand next to nothing, and when I tried to speak they couldn't
understand what I was saying and I couldn't remember the words. It was so
hard and humbling. But it was a great lesson and testament to me of the
power of prayer and the spirit in this work. Without the Lord with us,
we can't accomplish anything here.
I would just like to thank
everyone for your prayers on our behalf and again I would like to
testify that I know every single one matters and helps us. I miss you
all! and I hope you all have a great week! Keep on keeping on :)
Love, Hermana Speakman
